Waupaca has one more home meet

Waupaca’s girls’ golf team placed seventh Aug. 21 at the 10-team Heart of the Valley Invitational at Kaukauna’s Countryside Golf Club.

The Comets also hosted the Waupaca Invitational Aug. 18 at the Waupaca Country Club.

Heart of the Valley Invitational
KAUKAUNA – Markie Ash and Alana Radley teamed up to lead the Comets with an 87, followed by Chloe Abrahamson and Anna Ryder (118); and Justine Panzenhagen and Sydni Sondrol (123).

The meet consisted of two-player teams that played best ball for the first nine and a scramble on the back nine.

Team scores were Oshkosh North and De Pere (154); Kaukauna (164): Wrightstown (175); Denmark (181); Appleton West (188); Waupaca (205); Xavier (208); Kimberly (221); and Little Chute (225).

Waupaca Invitational
WAUPACA – Fox Valley Lutheran won the meet with a 338, followed by Wrightstown (376); Denmark (384); Freedom (404); Notre Dame (437); Appleton West (454); Oconto (470); Xavier (478); and Bonduel and Waupaca (485)

Team scores for Waupaca were Ash (91), Sondrol (115), Radley (118) and Ryder (161).

The Comets opened North Eastern Conference match play Aug. 25-26 with meets at Freedom’s Irish Waters Golf Club and De Pere’s Mid-Vallee Golf Course.

Waupaca will host a conference match at 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 31, at the Waupaca Country Club.
