Isabella N. Marks, age 95, of Fremont, died on Tuesday, September 08, 2015 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
She was born on January 22, 1920 in Redgranite, the daughter of the late Filippo and Pasqualina (D’Agostino) Maldari. On June 15, 1940, Isabella married Robert Marks at Peace Lutheran Church in Fond du lac. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1996. Isabella was the last surviving member of her generation of both the Maldari and Marks family. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fremont, and was also a member of the Wolf River American Legion Auxiliary Post 391, where she was a past president. Isabella loved gardening, and enjoyed bowling. She also enjoyed watching Packer, Brewer, Badger and Bucks games on TV.
Isabella is survived by her children, John (Kathryn) Marks, Salem, OR; James Marks, Waupaca; Bobbi Marks, Fremont; and Peggy (Terry) Block, Fremont; six grandchildren, Robin (Trevor) Lewis, Keizer, OR; Charles (Jodi) Marks, Salem, OR; Niel (Cree) Marks, Stevens Point; Dylan Marks, Waupaca; Dion (Nina) Block, Menasha; and Samantha Block, Madison; seven great-grandchildren: Levi, Luke, Easton, Emmi, Edward, Vincent, Maddux, and another great-grandchild due in October. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Dennis.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 107 Tustin Rd., Fremont. Pastor Stephen Pope will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin. Visitation will be held on Friday, at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established for St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont is assisting the family with arrangements.
