Traffic
• Sept. 11 – A man was injured in a motorcycle accident at about 11:30 p.m. in the town of Little Wolf.

Charles Gray, 40, of Waupaca, was driving eastbound on North Water Drive when he lost control of his vehicle.

The motorcycle entered the south ditch, coming to rest facing west.

The driver was ejected and came to rest in the south ditch about 10 feet from the motorcycle.

The police report stated that alcohol was present and listed the driver’s ability as impaired.

• Sept. 9 – A man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:30 p.m. in the town of Helvetia.

Roy Wiedrich, 49, of New London, was driving northbound on County Trunk E when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve.

The vehicle crossed the centerline and struck the shoulder of the roadway. Wiedrich attempted to re-correct, causing the unit to enter the east ditch and strike a tree.

The vehicle came to rest on the driver’s side. According to the police report, a bystander put the vehicle back on its wheels.

The driver allegedly told police he was trying to avoid striking a deer.

• Sept. 8 – Speed was a factor in a one-vehicle accident that injured a woman at about 8:30 a.m. in the town of Bear Creek.

Amber Zarling, 20, of Clintonville, was driving northbound on County Trunk O south of Brandy Creek Road when her car hydroplaned and entered the east ditch.

The vehicle came to rest in a water filled ditch.

• Sept. 7 – Two people were injured in a one-vehicle rollover at about 1:20 a.m. in the town of St. Lawrence.

Clay Dailey, 37, of Ogdensburg, was driving northbound on County Trunk K when his vehicle entered the east ditch. It struck a few small trees and a fence before overturning once and landing on its wheels.

Dailey was ejected through the passenger window. Both the driver and his passenger, Stacy Wohlrabe, 37, of Ogdensburg, sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital.

The police report stated that alcohol was present and listed the driver’s ability as impaired.

Dailey was placed under arrest for OWI.

• Sept. 6 – A teenager was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 9 p.m. in the city of Waupaca.

Andrew Bennett, 20, of Appleton, was driving northbound on County Trunk A when he lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a curve.

The car struck a traffic sign post and went across South Appletree Lane, striking a curb. The vehicle then went through the intersection and struck a ditch before it nose dived and spun sideways.

According to the police report, the operator and his two passengers fled the scene. They were all located at a residence on Galilee Road.

A passenger, Dillion Pionke, 19, of Appleton, was transported to the hospital for incapacitating injuries.

The other passenger, Rocky Neuman, 18, of Waupaca, and Bennett were not transported for their non-incapacitating injuries.

• Sept. 3 – A woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:30 p.m. in the village of Ogdensburg.

Charlene Lively, 61, of Amherst, was driving westbound on County Trunk B when she did not stop for a stop sign. The vehicle entered the ditch and overturned.

The operator told police she had the cruise set at 57 mph and knew there was a 35 mph zone ahead. She said she missed that sign, then the sun affected her seeing the stop sign.

The vehicle slid on the graveled roadway of County Trunk E and flipped.
