Volleyball team picks up wins against Pacelli, Bonduel

Weyauwega-Fremont’s volleyball team picked up recent Central Wisconsin-8 Conference wins over Pacelli and Bonduel.

The Indians swept Pacelli Sept. 17 at home and took three of five games Sept. 15 in Bonduel.

BONDUEL – The Indians broke a 2-2 tie with a 15-12 win in the decisive fifth game.

Bonduel opened the match with a 25-22 win, but the Indians responded with 25-22 and 26-24 wins to take a 2-1 lead.

The Bears forced a fifth set with a 28-26 win in the fourth game, but had seven hitting errors in the fifth game.

Becky Schroeder led the Indians with 21 kills.

The Indians played Iola-Scandinavia Sept. 22 and will host Shiocton Tuesday, Sept. 29. Freshman/C team and junior varsity matches are set for 6 p.m., while the varsity team will hit the court at 7:30 p.m.
