W-F goes 3-3 at Wrightstown

Indians volleyball team falls to Shiocton

Weyauwega-Fremont’s volleyball team posted a 3-3 record Oct. 3 at the Wrightstown Invitational.

The Indians also fell to Shiocton in five games Sept. 29 in a Central Wisconsin-8 Conference match.

WRIGHTSTOWN – W-F fell to Hilbert (16-25, 22-25), Manitowoc Lutheran (8-25, 11-25) and Plymouth (19-25, 21-25), but defeated Seymour (30-28), St. Mary Catholic (25-18, 25-23) and Sturgeon Bay (25-10, 25-16).

WEYAUWEGA – Shiocton won the first and third games 25-23 and 25-11, but the Indians picked up a 25-18 win in the second game and forced a fifth set with a 25-9 win in the fourth game.

The Indians served for the match with a 14-10 lead in the final game, but the Chiefs came back to tie the match at 15-15 before scoring the next two points.

W-F will compete in CWC-8 pool play Saturday, Oct. 10.
