By Taylor Eilers

FFA FarmFest 2015 was held Saturday, Oct. 3, at Turner’s Fresh Farm Market and Riley Crest Farm.

Nearly 800 community residents of all ages attended FarmFest this year.

Visitors walked through a corn maze, enjoyed hay rides, played agricultural games, rode horses, interacted with farm animals at the petting zoo, learned about veterinarian science, toured a dairy farm and painted mini pumpkins.

Other activities included making beanie babies, puppets and lip gloss, as well as participating in the pedal-tractor races and playing pumpkin checkers and tic-tac-toe.

Guests were also treated to grilled hot dogs, hamburgers, brats, sweet corn and homemade desserts for lunch.

Ross and Tara Turner and Tom and Kari Riley hosted the events, and FFA Alumni members and parents helped make the day successful.
