Diana Mae Diem, age 69, of New London passed away on Friday, Oct. 9, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Residence in New London.
Diana was born on January 21, 1946 to the late Aloyus and Bernice (Beckman) Spiegel in Neenah. She was united in marriage to James Diem on May 31, 1969 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London. She graduated from Hortonville High School and worked at McCain Foods in Appleton, until her retirement in 2009. Diana enjoyed cooking, playing cards, watching the Packers and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Diana is survived by her husband, James; two sons, Brian (Joan) Diem, Appleton and Todd Diem, Appleton; two granddaughters, Anycia and Jessica; siblings, Harland (Dee) Speigel, Gloria VanHeuklon and Joyce (Henry) Fabisiak. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Diana is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law Jack VanHeuklon.
Funeral services for Diana will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service directly at the church. Rev. Marcus Schulz will be officiating and burial will be at Floral Hill Cemetery, New London. The Cline and Hanson Funeral Home in New London is serving the family.
