Ward S. Montgomery, age 80, of Waupaca, WI passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Lakeview Manor in Weyauwega.
Ward was born in the Town of Waupaca on November 9, 1934, the son of the late Floyd and Hilda (Johnson) Montgomery. On November 23, 1961, Ward married Marilyn Sellin at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca. He was a machinist beginning his career at Trade Winds in Manawa and later at Moore O Matic and Waupaca Elevator. For over 30 years, Ward and his family had the hobby of venison processing at the farm. He is a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Ward is survived by his wife, Marilyn Montgomery, Waupaca; his children, Russell Montgomery, Waupaca and Joann (Ken) Kasper, Fremont; his grandson, Brandon Engel and his step-grandchildren: Krystle (Michael) Daujotas, Alex Kasper, Adam Kasper and Jeremy Kasper. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Mary (Spike) Lautenbach and an infant son.
The Christian Funeral Service will be on Saturday, October 17 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waupaca with Reverend Ron Siemers, officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery, Waupaca. Visitation will be on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the church. Holly Funeral Home is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
