Wolves place high at invitational
Seven Manawa runners in top 10

Manawa’s cross country team had a big day Oct. 10 at the Wolf River Lutheran Invitational in Shawano.
Seven runners placed in the top 10, with six of them turning in a top-five finish.
Placing for the boys were Jared Zielke (second, 18:48); Andrew Scheller (third, 19:35); Scott Schneider (fifth, 20:43); Sebastian Wagner (eighth, 21:02); and Devin Loughrin (13th, 24:05).
Placing for the girls were Jody Wentworth (second, 24:25); Lexi Smiles (third, 24:39); and Brianna Severson (fifth, 25:44).
The Wolves will compete Thursday, Oct. 15, in the Central Wisconsin Conference meet at Standing Rocks County Park near Amherst. Races will start at 4 p.m.
