Minehan, Richard “Dick” R.

Richard “Dick” R. Minehan of Almond, age 70, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015 at Appleton Medical Center.

He was born in Long Beach, CA on June 2, 1945, the son of Robert Minehan and Joanne Lemke. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy, retiring after 29 years of service. His hobbies included: fishing on Lake Winnebago with David and Gayle, hunting, traveling and sailing. Dick belonged to the “Tuesday Club”, where he enjoyed breakfast with friends.

His survivors include siblings: Gayle (David) O’Brien of Oshkosh, Patric Minehan of Hawaii, Calene (Dan) Pagel of Minocqua, David (Kathy) Thibaudeau of Waupaca, and Tami-Beth Thibaudeau of Hilbert; a sister-in-law, Susan of Maryland; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Minehan.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 5 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home, with full military honors. Visitation was held from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Burial of cremains will take place at the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI.
