A man inspecting the damage after a car-deer crash near Fremont was hit by a second vehicle Saturday night.
Shortly before 7:45 p.m. a 49-year-old Menasha woman was southbound on County Trunk II when she struck a deer.
Her vehicle was severely damaged and disabled in the lane of traffic.
A 55-year-old passenger exited the vehicle to check the damage.
Another southbound vehicle, driven by a 66-year-old Neenah man, hit the disabled vehicle and the 55-year-old man.
The 55-year-old man was seriously injured and flown by helicopter to Theda Clark in Neenah.
According to the Waupaca County Sheriffโs Office, alcohol is not believed to have played a factor.
The identities of those involved in the crash are being withheld pending further investigation.
