Pingel, Gregory “Greg” R.

Gregory “Greg” R. Pingel, age 61 of Clintonville passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, November 14, 2015.

Greg was born as the son of Joyce A. (Gibson) Pingel and the late Rhynold Pingel on April 19, 1954 in Tigerton. He graduated from New London High School in 1972 and went on to the Art Program at UW Oshkosh. Greg worked various jobs throughout his life, but always had a passion for art. He enjoyed displaying his artwork at “The Hang-Up” gallery in Neenah. Greg used his skills as an artist and applied them to many projects and inventions. He also enjoyed his farm and country life near Royalton before moving to Clintonville a few years ago. Greg loved to restore old cars and was creative when it came to custom painting motorcycles or building his own mopeds and guitars. He looked forward to visiting with his neighbors and spending time with his family.

Survivors include: his mother, Joyce A. Pingel, Clintonville; sister; Gloria (Tom) Clinton, Bear Creek; brothers: Gayle (Debbie) Pingel, Appleton; Grayling (Pat) Pingel, Clintonville and Grant (Sheri) Pingel, New London; nieces and nephews: Travis Clinton, Sheila Heino, Amy (Tim Stueck) Pingel, Carrie (Jay) Schweitzer, Joseph Pingel, Rochelle (Cody) Flores, Joshua Pingel, and Melissa (Jason) Konrad. Also other relatives and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his father Rhynold and a nephew Robert Strodick.

Greg’s funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory in Clintonville with Rev. Benjamin Hollingsead officiating. Interment will follow at the Floral Hill Cemetery in New London. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
