Bolier, Douglas L.

Douglas L. Bolier, age 67, of Stevens Point, passed away at his residence on Sunday, November 22nd surrounded by his family, following a courageous battle with cancer.

Doug was born in Baldwin, Wisconsin on August 22, 1948, a son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Niederer) Bolier. Doug was a graduate of Baldwin-Woodville High School in 1966. He married Judith Moerke on July 17, 1978 in Las Vegas. Doug worked for United Parcel Service in Stevens Point for over 27 years and then retiring in 1995. Following retirement, he and his wife Judy, purchased the Crystal Cafe in Iola. He enjoyed boating, golfing, skiing, riding motorcycle and traveling. He will best be known for his deep heart and generosity.

He is survived by: his wife, Judith Bolier, of Stevens Point; children: Aimee (Shane) Christenson, of Stillwater, MN; Brian (Annie ) Bolier, of St. Paul, MN; Jennifer (Nathan) Schustek, of Iola; sister, Patti (Wayne) Helgeson of Baldwin; grandchildren: Avery and Ethan Christenson, Adele and Stella Bolier, Sadie and Olivia Schustek. Doug was preceded in death by two brothers, Steve and Michael.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the at Blue Top Supper Club (Rookies), 3425 Church Street in Stevens Point on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 4:30-8:30 PM. Interment will be in Baldwin, Wisconsin later next spring. In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Doug can be made to Hope Lodge Marshfield Clinic, 1000 N. Oak Avenue, Marshfield, Wisconsin 54449. The Voie Funeral Home, Iola is assisting the family with arrangements.
