Peplinski, Barbara Ann (Sell)

Barbara Ann (Sell) Peplinski passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2015.

Barbara was born on May 7, 1938 to the late Reinhold and Leona Sell, in the Town of Lanark, Waupaca County, where she spent her childhood on the family farm. She graduated from Waupaca High School and went to work for the Bell Telephone Company. She married Jerome Peplinski on October 11, 1958. They lived in Hartford, WI and later moved to Cecil where they bought the Washington Hotel and operated it for eight years. After they sold it, Barbara cooked at the Cotton Patch and helped some of her friends in the restaurant business. She leased the Stockmens Inn Restaurant from Bonduel Equity Co-op and operated it for 25 years. When she retired, her efforts turned to gardening, with hanging baskets in almost every tree. She loved to travel with her friends and was a great mother, grandma and wife.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Jerome; daughter, Laurie; son, John; grandchildren, Denise, Emily, Megan and John Jr; great-grandchildren, Carter and Cambren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reinhold and Leona Sell and brother, Robert Sell.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Cecil with Rev. Mike Grzeca officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Inurnment will be in St. Martin’s Catholic Cemetery following the luncheon.
