Taste of Christmas on Spencer Lake

The sixth annual Taste of Christmas will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Spencer Lake Christian Center.

The day’s festivities include music all day long, Waupaca High School Madrigals, visits with Santa, gingerbread house decorating, an indoor Red Ryder BB gun range, a Christmas karaoke tent, vendors with holiday crafts, a bonfire for roasting marshmallows, a live nativity and petting zoo, classic Christmas movies, and the Holiday Treat Shoppe.

Jamaican Kitchens, Hillbilly Bob’s, Little Fat Gretchen’s, The Sanctuary, Jonny Salsa, Happy Paape Kettle Corn, and Krumbs. will have tables set up for snacks and meals.

The event also collects donations for the Waupaca Food Pantry and the Waupaca Pregnancy Information Center.

Guests may drop off donations of mittens and hats for Waupaca’s Miracle Tree or donate to the community blood bank.

There will be an angel gift rummage sale and donations of school supplies may be made to help Waupaca area students.

Shepherd’s Quarter will help host the closing celebration at 4:30 p.m. which includes a candlelight reading of the Christmas story, live nativity and carol medleys. The day will end at 5 p.m. 150 sky lanterns will be launched.
