Stratton Drug Store has been a part of the Waupaca community since 1921.

“It is the only locally owned and operated pharmacy in town and as a result we are able to offer the lowest prices in town on all health and beauty needs,” said Kirsten Olson, who works at the store.

Owned by Richard Kempfert since 1973, Stratton Drug is located at 107 N. Main Street in Waupaca.

“We have served generations of families here,” Olson said. “We really take pride in our ability to offer one on one attention and timely prescription service to our customers.”

In addition to pharmaceutical services, Stratton’s Drug Store also offers a wide variety of greeting cards and gift items as well.

“We have a great selection of special occasion figurines and seasonal decorations,” Olson said. “We also have a large selection of tapered candles, which have been very popular since we are one of the only retail outlets in town that carry them.”

She added that they are adding new boutique items such as fashion scarves, multi-colored leggings and jewelry as well.

“The fashion scarves and leggings are the new hot items,” she said. “We have a wide variety for everyone.”

In addition Chain O’ Lakes merchandise is also popular.

“We have anything from Chain O’ Lakes clocks to picture frames, journals and wall art,” she said. “We also have Waupaca and Chain O’ Lakes T-shirts and sweatshirts as well, which are great for folks visiting the area.”

Stratton Drug is open Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Saturday 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to noon.

Complimentary gift wrapping with purchase is available.
