Driver hits gas pump, no one injured

An 80-year-old Clintonville man hit a car on S. Main Street before hitting a gas pump at the Shell station on the south side of town.

The crash took place shortly before 4:15 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10.

Clintonville Police Chief Terry Lorge said John Moder pulled out of the Family Traditions Restaurant on S. Main Street and struck a southbound vehicle. Moder then veered to the left across the northbound lanes of traffic, went over a traffic median, and hit a road sign before coming to a stop after hitting a gas pump at the Shell station.

Moder, 80, was cited for failure to yield right of way, Lorge said.

The vehicle struck by Moder was driven by Lyle Wuestenberg, 58, of Watertown.

There were no injuries in the accident.
