Manawa takes on Plainfield

The Manawa Wolves recently took on the Plainfield Penguins, winning the non-conference match-up 82-64, Monday, Dec. 21, in Manawa.

Luke Wilz had the hot for Manawa in the first half of the game, scoring 13 points, while Stone Stommel poured in 11 for the Penguins.

The Wolves went to the locker room with a 38-34 advantage in the game.

Manawa came back strong in the second half out-scoring Plainfield 44-30, with Sam Welch and Brandon Radloff each scoring 12 points.

Stommel led the scoring for Plainfield with 24 points, followed by Cordell Sharp with 17 and Dawson Knutson with 12.

Radloff scored 22 points to lead the Wolves, followed by Wilz with 17 and Welch with 14.

The Wolves will be back in action during a holiday tournament on Dec. 28 and 29 in Almond.
