Wisconsin’s first major snowstorm of the season didn’t keep 65 wrestling teams from heading to Oshkosh for the 25th annual Lourdes Academy on the Water Wrestling Classic.

Waupaca and Hortonville high schools sent two of 63 wrestling teams from around the state to the event, held Dec. 28-29 at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh’s Kolf Sports Center. One team from Illinois and one from Arizona rounded out the field.

Other area teams at the meet include Amherst, Almond-Bancroft/Pacelli and Wild Rose/Wautoma.
