Shirley Mae Johnson, 91 of Morris, IL, formerly of Highland, IN passed away peacefully January 2, 2016.
She was born on May 13, 1924 in Clintonville, WI to Herman and Mayme (nee Zaug) Nehring.
She is survived by her children, Richard Johnson, Sherry Garner, Joni (Florian) Bolsega and Sandy (Jim) Bolker; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Perryman, Scott Mulchahey, Karen (Mark) Feczko, Mandy Jo Gunter, Jill (Bill) Mayer, Eric (Jessica) Seljan, Jordan Bolker and Austin Bolker; nine great-grandchildren with one on the way; and a brother, Gary (Ione) Nehring. She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Johnson; her son, Jack Johnson; and her sister, Betty Johnson.
Shirley was a beautician, Past President of Ladies Auxiliary V.F.W. Post 1109, an avid bowler and golfer. She was a wonderful wife, best mother, caring grandmother and loyal friend to many.
Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville, WI at a later date. Fagen-Miller Funeral Home, Highland, IN is in charge of arrangements. We would like to thank our sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Jim Bolker, for all the love and special care you’ve given her.
