Kristian Welch and Adam Cherek combined for 40 points Jan. 12 for the Iola-Scandinavia boys’ basketball team in a 68-45 nonconference win over Rosholt.
The Thunderbirds led 35-24 at halftime and outscored the Hornets 33-21 the rest of the way.
Welch led all scorers with 24 points and hit 11 of his 15 shots, while Cherek added 16.
