Ellefsen, Louise C.

Louise “Toots” C. Ellefsen, age 90, of Clintonville passed away Thursday evening, January 14, 2016 at the Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.

Louise was born on December 15, 1925 in Clintonville as the daughter of the late Herbert and Louise (Bohlig) Kratzke. At the age of one, she moved with her family to Cleveland, ND, and at age 11 moved back to Clintonville where she attended school. On November 9, 1946 Louise was united in marriage to Thomas J. Ellefsen in Clintonville. The couple resided in town where Louise worked for various places including the F.W.D., JC Penney, Hansen Glove Factory, Urban Telephone, and also Baker Canning Company. Thomas preceded Louise in death on February 2, 1976. For the past few years, Louise has resided at Aster Retirement Community in Clintonville. Louise was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clintonville and put God first in her life. She loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Louise was a past member of the Clintonville Bowhunters, and loved watching the Green Bay Packers. She also enjoyed knitting, and was great at visiting and reminiscing with family and friends.

Survivors include: her son, James (Shauna) Ellefsen, Conrad, MT; granddaughters, Brandi (Will) Fleming, Great Falls, MT; Courtney Ellefsen (Dan Helmers), Havre, MT; and her brother, Wilbern “Willie” Kratzke, Tigerton; daughter-in-law, Roberta (Tom) Kvale, Clintonville; step-granddaughter, Stacey (Mike) Nielson, Clintonville; step-great-grandchildren, Travis (Cheyenne) Loose, Clintonville and Chase Loose, Clintonville. Also, numerous loving nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Thomas J. Ellefsen, a son Thomas W. Ellefsen, a sister Anna (Gerald) Schulz, and sisters-in-law: Phyllis Kratzke, Desneige Ellefsen, and Jacqueline Lund.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 31 North Park Street, Clintonville, WI. Rev. Titus Buelow will officiate and interment will follow at the Graceland Cemetery also in Clintonville. Friends may call at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, 53 N. Main Street, Clintonville from 5 – 7 p.m. Monday and at the church on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. An online guestbook for Louise can be found at www.eberhardtstevenson.com.
