Salvation Army recognizes volunteers

Those who participated in Weyauwega’s annual Salvation Army Bell Ringing Campaign received pizza and recognition during a Jan. 12 party.

The local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 10407 invited the volunteers to the party, which was held at the Hitching Post, in Weyauwega.
Approximately 40 people attended the event, which included recognizing VFW member Gordy Niemuth for his 15 years of dedication to the cause.

KD’s IGA in Weyauwega, Fremont Citgo Travel Plaza and First National Bank in Weyauwega, were also recognized for their assistance.

With the help of volunteers, including Country Pride 4-H members, Weyauwega-Fremont Student Council and National Honor Society representatives and countless individuals, the organization realized almost a $1,000 increase in donations to serve Waupaca County residents who are in need.
