Thunderbirds dominate second half

The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbird boys’ basketball team chalked up at 85-39 victory over the Manawa Wolves in a Friday night conference matchup in Iola.
Kenny Holz scored 14 points for the T-Birds in the first half to give Iola-Scandinavia a 38-25 lead. Brandon Radloff scored 7 points for the Wolves.
The T-Birds came on even stronger in the second half and once again outscored the Wolves 47-14.
Holz paired up with Charlie Stockwell, with each scoring 9 points for Iola-Scandinavia.
Jeven Sachtjen scored 7 points for the Wolves.
Leading the scoring for Iola-Scandinavia was Holz with 23, followed by Stockwell with 15 and Zach Mortenson with 13.
Sachtjen topped the scoring for the Wolves with 13 points, followed by Radloff with 9 and Luke Wilz with 7.
The T-Birds will be back in action on Tuesday Jan. 26, when they travel to Wisconsin Valley Lutheran.
