Hart, Larry

Larry Hart, 65, of Waupaca, WI passed away on January 27, 2016.

He was born on February 20, 1950 in Reedsburg, WI, the oldest son of Marvin and Mary Hart. Larry was a United States Marine Corp veteran. He served his country with honor and valor in combat during the Vietnam War. Larry lived in Madison, WI for many years. He worked as an industrial painter and bar owner/manager. He later was a long-haul truck driver. He managed and contributed greatly to the family business interests in King, WI. Larry enjoyed boating, fishing, reading the daily newspaper, traveling, and visiting with friends. Larry lived life to the fullest and wanted others to do the same. Big Daddy was known for his generosity and always made sure there was a gathering place for good times to be shared by all. When we thought the party was over, he convinced us that the party was just beginning. Larry never hesitated to express his point of view. Fortunately for us, his wise advice was always well intended and quickly put things in perspective.

Larry is survived by his wife Sherilyn; step-daughters, Anita (Kevin) and Erica (Amanda); mother, Mary; brother, Rick (Sue), and sister Sue; nephews, Lee and Nate; niece, Lisa; other relatives; many friends including close friends, Bobby, Scott, and Sandra; and his dog T-Bone. He is preceded in death by his father, Marvin; brother, Tom, and brother-in-law, Jim Hansen.

A military honors memorial will be held at a later date. Per Larry’s wishes, this will occur this spring or summer.
