Dobbert, Harley “Hans” Earl

Harley “Hans” Earl Dobbert, age 88, of Weyauwega went to his heavenly home on Monday, February 1, 2016 at his residence.

He was born on December 14, 1927 in Weyauwega, son of the late Elmer and Laura (Knoble) Dobbert. Hans owned and operated the Dobbert Resort in Weyauwega for over 60 years. He loved fishing, but he especially loved taking care of the resort and the guests. He was a member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega.

He is survived by his siblings: Allan (Ramona) Dobbert, Weyauwega; Frank (Barbara) Dobbert, New London; Duane (Geri) Dobbert, Waupaca; and Judy Schumann, Weyauwega. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Virginia (Harland) Wall, Carol (Bud) Ebeltoft, Kenneth (Evelyn) Dobbert, and Donovan “Butch” Dobbert.

The Christian Funeral for Harley will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Newlin Schafer and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Weyauwega. A visitation for Harley will be held at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. The Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega is serving the family.
