Trzinski, Carol Ann (Lepinski)

Carol Ann (Lepinski) Trzinski, age 77, of Amherst Jct., WI passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Bethany Home in Waupaca.

Carol was born in Stevens Point on March 31, 1938, the daughter of the late Victor and Clara (Fillip) Lepinski. She attended St. Stephen’s Catholic grade school. She graduated from PJ Jacobs High School, Stevens Point in 1956 and she married David L. Trzinski on October 12, 1957 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. Carol worked at Hardware Mutual (currently Sentry Insurance) for four years. She was the Title 1 educational assistant and kindergarten assistant for Amherst Elementary School for 27 years. Carol was also active in the Stevens Point Area Teachers Association since 2006. She taught CCD at St. Mary’s, Fancher for 18 years. She had been a member of the Amherst Junction Women’s Club for over 50 years. During that time she was a member of the Tomorrow River Tomorrow and Tomorrow River State Trail organization. Carol loved to read and put together 1,000 piece puzzles. She liked to go on Casino trips with her husband, Dave. She cherished time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her loving and devoted husband, David Trzinski, Amherst Jct; her three children: Patti (Andy) Freund, Fond du Lac; Jane (Jim) Damrau, Waupaca and Deacon James (Leigh Ann) Trzinski, Plainfield; 10 grandchildren: Jeremy (Angela) Freund, Christopher (Tracy) Freund, Jeffrey (friend-Bruno) Freund, Brian (Brittany) Freund, Jennifer (Aaron) Zurawski, Jared Dombrowski, Ryan and Megan Damrau, Zachary and Courtney Trzinski; seven great-grandchildren: Mason, Lilian and Syler Freund, Kayla and Dylan Freund, Braxon Freun and Aiden Zurawski. Also surviving are her brothers-in-law, Dennis Trzinski, Donald (Joan) Trzinski and Robert Zdroik; nieces, nephews and very close friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Verona Trzinski; a brother, Alfred (Loretta) Lepinski; her sisters, Betty (Henry) Yulga and Dorothy (Larry) Formella and a sister-in-law, Judy Zdroik.

The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, February 12 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Fancher with Father Dan Hackel and Deacon James Trzinski presiding. Visitation will be on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home, Amherst with a Rosary at 8 p.m. The visitation will continue on Friday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of mass at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Carol’s name. The family would like to thank the staff of UW Hospitals, Madison; Bethany Home of Waupaca and ThedaCare Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Carol and her family during this difficult time.
