Iola-Scandy improves record to 8-2

The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds clenched a 72-56 victory over the Bonduel Bears in Iola Monday, Feb. 8.

During the first half of the game Peyton Czarapata scored eight poinyd for the Bears while Adam Cherek sank 11 points for Iola-Scandinavia sending the T-Birds to the locker room with a 40-23 lead in the game.

Bonduel tried to come back in the second half, outscoring the T-Birds 33-32, but it was not enough.

Leading the scoring for Bonduel was Czarapata with 19, followed by Parker Bohm 11 and Robert Sanchez with 10.

Kenny Holz led Iola-Scandinavia with 17 points, followed by Cherek with 16 and Zach Mortenson with 14.

The T-Birds improve their record to 8-2, while Bonduel drops to 3-7.

Iola-Scandinavia will host Pacelli on Friday, Feb. 12.
