Iola-Scandinavia boys win conference game

The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds scored a 81-55 victory over the Manawa Wolves during a Thursday, Feb. 25 conference game in Manawa.
Kenny Holz scored 17 of his game-high 25 points in the first half to send the T-Birds to the locker room with a 43-24 lead in the game.
The Wolves tried to get back in the game during the second half, but were again outscored 38-31.
Leading the scoring for Manawa was Brandon Radloff with 21, followed by Luke Wilz with 10 and Sam Welch with 8.
Holz led the way for Iola-Scandinavia with 25, followed by Kristian Welch with 22 and Zach Mortenson with 11. Every player for the T-Birds made it in the scorebook.
Manawa will travel to Shiocton on March 1 to take on the Chiefs in the first round of regional tournament play, while Iola-Scandinavia will host Gibraltar.
