Woman faces battery charges

A domestic fight in Weyauwega resulted in a felony drug arrest.

Ashley L. Fletcher, 28, Weyauwega, is charged with substantial battery, possession of narcotics, illegal possession of prescription drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, Fletcher’s boyfriend, Robby Kuenzi, flagged down Weyauwega Police Officer Justin Malueg. Luenzi told Malueg that he and Fletcher had been arguing and it became physical.

According to the criminal complaint, Kuenzi accused Fletcher of cheating on him. She became upset and went outside to smoke a cigarette.

When Kuenzi approached her through the doorway, Fletcher allegedly pushed the door into him. He responded by swearing and spitting.

Fletcher then hit Kuenzi in the face and caused part of his tooth to break off, the complaint says.

Kuenzi reportedly told Malueg that Fletcher said if he reported the incident to the police, she would scratch herself and blame him for it.

Kuenzi then told Malueg that Fletcher had drug paraphernalia in or near the bathroom medicine cabinet and on top of the microwave.

Malueg and Cpl. Adam Rogge then went to the couple’s home and questioned Fletcher.

Fletcher told the officers Kuenzi had tried to lock her out of the house, so she forced the door open, the complaint says. She said he spit in her face, so she hit his face.

She denied using drugs. Rogge found a pipe in her pocket.

When Malueg found an orange pill in her purse, Fletcher reportedly said, “Imagine that. It’s morphine, right?”

Malueg also found hollowed out pens with white residue inside of them and a metal pin with burnt residue. The residue tested positive for heroin, the complaint says.
