The Iola-Scandinavia baseball team is back from its season-opening trip to Florida.

The Thunderbirds dropped all three of their games to teams from Kentucky and Georgia at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.

I-S dropped a 6-0 decision to Ashland, Ken.; fell to The Padieia School from Georgia 7-3; and lost to Oldham County, Ken., 3-1.

Although the T-Birds headed south before playing a game, their three opponents opened their schedules in February and had 15 to 17 games under their belts.

The T-Birds are scheduled to open Central Wisconsin-8 Conference play at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Weyauwega-Fremont. I-S then has a doubleheader with Rosholt and Amherst at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, in Rosholt and will also host Shiocton at 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 18.
