I-S scores six runs in second

The Iola-Scandinavia baseball team picked up a 14-3 Central Wisconsin-8 Conference win over Manawa Tuesday, April 26.
Both teams scored twice in the first inning, but the Thunderbirds scored six times in the second on several walks and run-scoring hits from Cam Gruenwald and Brady Snyder.
Bo Koehn had an RBI double for Manawa in the third, but that turned out to be the Wolves’ final run of the game.
The T-Birds added to their lead with a run in the fourth and added five more in the fifth.
Nate Korb picked up the win on the mound.
