Traffic
• April 18 – A woman was injured in a one-vehicle rollover at about 5 a.m. in the town of Dayton.

Suzanne Hammonds, 58, of Wautoma, told police she was driving northbound on State Highway 22 when she fell asleep. She woke up to find her vehicle left of the centerline.

Hammonds overcorrected her steering and the vehicle entered the gravel on the east shoulder and re-entered the roadway. The vehicle then re-entered the east gravel shoulder where the truck slid sideways before rolling and coming to rest on its roof on Dayton Road.

• April 18 – A woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:30 p.m. in the town of St. Lawrence.

Barbara Keelan, 53, of Iola, was driving northbound on County Trunk E north of Allen Road when her vehicle hit the lip of the east shoulder while negotiating a curve.

The driver overcorrected, causing the vehicle to slide across both lanes of traffic. The vehicle entered the west ditch and collided with a tree, coming to rest facing northwest.

• April 17 – A motorcyclist was injured in a one-vehicle rollover at about 5:30 p.m. in the town of Union.

Peter Walter, 65, of Larsen, was driving eastbound on Stoney Ridge Road when his motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve.

The unit rotated onto the driver’s side, slid into a ditch and overturned, coming to rest on top of the driver in a driveway.

During the incident, Walter was ejected from the motorcycle. He suffered incapacitating injuries. He was not wearing a helmet.

• April 8 – A woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6 p.m. in the town of Farmington.

Mary Friday, 73, of Scandinavia, was driving northbound on County Trunk Q north of Grenlie Road when she lost control of her vehicle.
The vehicle crossed the centerline, entered the west ditch and overturned.
