Peeps are more than a sweet treat at the Waupaca Area Public Library — they’re art.

The library is currently hosting “The Peeps Show,” which features dioramas created with the sugary candy.

The exhibit is open through May 28 in the lower-level exhibit room.

Local families, children and adults entered more than 30 dioramas this year.

Entries could be any theme but had to include Peeps in the display.

Winners of the entry exhibit were announced April 18, at a reception.

Categories and winners included: Logan Rogney (Peeper Potter’s Quiddich Match) and the Fischer family (Peeparod) for Best Use of Peeps; Connor Jeske (World War Peep) and Judy Felt-Lain (Peeping Toms) for Best Original Concept; Olivia Vassar (Hip Hop Hares) and Dan Popple (Mt. Sugar-Rushmore); and Judy Culligan for Best in Show.

The exhibit is open during regular library hours and is free to the public.
