Traffic
• May 30 – A motorcyclist was injured in a one-vehicle crash at about 3 p.m. in the town of Mukwa.

Dalton Kent, 20, of New London, was driving westbound on Jenning Road about a quarter-mile west of New London when he lost control of his motorcycle.

The vehicle entered the north ditch, struck a culvert and a tree stump, and the operator was ejected.

According to the police report, the driver was not using any safety equipment and alcohol was present at the scene.

Kent suffered incapacitating injuries and was flown by helicopter to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, in Neenah.

• May 28 – A man was injured in a one-vehicle crash at about 3 a.m. in the town of Union.

Frank Ostrowski, 52, of Ogdensburg, was traveling west on State Highway 161 near Much Road when he attempted to negotiate a curve. His truck went into a ditch and overturned.

The driver needed to be extricated from the vehicle and suffered possible injuries.

According to the police report, the driver’s ability appeared impaired and alcohol was present at the scene.

Ostrowski was charged with OWI.
• May 27 – Two people suffered possible injuries from a two-vehicle crash at about 8 p.m. in the town of Bear Creek.

Becka Jarvis, 17, of Bear Creek, was stopped in traffic waiting to take a left turn when her vehicle was hit by a vehicle driven by Amanda Ernst, 35, of Clintonville.

Both vehicles were southbound on U.S. 45 near Deer Creek Road.

Ernst told police she did not see that the Jarvis vehicle was stopped and she did not see a turn signal.

Both drivers were transported to the hospital for possible injuries.
