Patricia A. Nielsen, Waupaca, Wisconsin, age 76, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center – Appleton, WI.

She was born March 17, 1940 in Chicago, IL, daughter of Joseph and Anne (Welgocki) Vivirito. On August 29, 1959, Patricia married Christian Nielsen Jr. in Chicago, IL and together they shared 50 years of marriage before his passing on March 22, 2010. She was a wonderful cook and no one left hungry after leaving her house. Patricia was a very caring and giving individual with her family, neighbors, and friends. She will be deeply missed by all of her loving family and friends.

Patricia is survived by: daughter, JoAnn (Donald) Dunaj of Waupaca, WI; sons, Christian (Sally) Nielsen, III of Waupaca, WI; Kirk (Lori) Nielsen of Berlin, WI; ten grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Josephine Vivirito of Arlington Heights, IL; mother-in-law, Ellen Nielsen of Waupaca, WI. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Anne Vivirito; her husband, Christian Nielsen Jr.; an infant sister, Josephine Vivirito; a brother, Samuel Vivirito; and her father-in-law, Christian Nielsen Sr.

A Private Family Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, July 3, 2016. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
