Waupaca man wins new car

Drives home in Camaro convertible

By Holly Neumann

On Friday, July 15, Brian Feest, of Waupaca, received the keys to a brand new 2016 Chevy Camaro convertible during a prize ceremony at the Appleton West Menards.

Feest was selected as the grand prize winner, after registering for the Menards 2016 Vehicle Sweepstakes and was awarded the vehicle on behalf of Menards and one of its vendors, Char-Broil.

“I just couldn’t believe it,” said Feest. “I have been registering for so many years it finally paid off.”

Brian’s wife, Sue, who works at First National Bank in Waupaca, recalled the day she found out.

“Brian came to my work at around two o’clock in the afternoon and you could tell he was really excited about something,” she said. “He had a piece of paper in his hand and as he handed it to me he said, here, we won this. On it, it said Menards and had a picture of a 2016 Camaro. I thought he was joking. All I could say was no way in disbelief.”

Her co-workers reassured her that he would not do that for something this big.

“Everyone was very excited,” said Sue. “It is so unbelievable.”

According to Brian, his wife will be the one who gets to drive the car on a daily basis.

“I am retired and she is still working, so she will get to drive the car to work,” he said. “I however am driving it home today.”

“This was a dream car of mine when I was a kid,” said Sue. “But I am sure I will have to share.”

Bill Kostopolus, General Manager at Appleton West Menards congratulated Feest on winning.

“What a cool car, is all I have to say,” said Kostopolus. “On behalf of Menards and Char-Broil; Congratulations to Brian on winning this fun car. Brian will enjoy every minute of summer with this machine.”

Menards holds drawings on a monthly basis, where customers can win a variety of prizes.

Customers can register once daily on a kiosk in any of their stores.
