Event features music, food, bike rodeo, baseball
St. Mary Magdalene’s Family Fun Festival will be held Sunday, Aug. 14.
The festival will kick off with a 5K run/walk at 8 a.m., followed with an outdoor Mass at 10 a.m.
The Milwaukee vocal ensemble Doo Wop Daddies will perform classic songs from the 1950s and ‘60s from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Family activities will include children’s games, a 1950s-’60s costume contest, family baseball game, an ice cream shop and train rides.
Ribs, hamburgers, brats and homemade deserts will be served.
The Wisconsin Bike Federation will sponsor a bike rodeo. The first 50 youths to participate will receive a free bike helmet.
Raffle tickets for two kayaks and a car-top kayak rack will be for sale. There will also be a bike raffle and a silent auction.
New this summer, the Family Fun Festival will feature “Holy Spirits,” a wine pull and beer raffle featuring Wisconsin wine and beer. Point Brewery has donated beer and merchandise to the event.
