Waupaca County criminal sentencing Oct. 11

Recent convictions, dismissals from felony cases

• Judge Raymond Huber placed Gage M. Howard, 22, New London, on five years of probation, sentenced him to nine months in jail as a condition of probation, then stayed eight months. He also ordered Howard to perform 125 hours of community service.

Howard was convicted of felony hit-and-run after the original charge was amended from hit-and-run causing death.

On July 12, 2014, Howard was allegedly the driver of a vehicle that struck and killed 18-year-old Tyler Court.

As conditions of his probation, Howard is prohibited from driving, prohibited from consuming alcohol and illegal drugs, and required to report any medical appointments or changes in medication to his agent.

• Huber sentenced Joshua D. Parker, 35, Waupaca, to three years in prison and three years of extended supervision.

Parker was convicted of one count of felony delivery of heroin. Charges of possession of narcotics and possession of amphetamines were dismissed but read into the court record for sentencing purposes.

At the time of his arrest in May 2015, the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office said Parker made more than 500 heroin deals between April and October 2014.

• Judge Philip Kirk sentenced Randal J. Frank, 58, Waupaca, to one year in jail, then stayed 90 days of the sentence.

Frank was convicted of a sixth drunken driving offense.

Kirk also revoked Frank’s license for three years, ordered him to install an ignition interlock device (IID) on his vehicles for three years, assessed himn $2,619 in fines and court costs and ordered him to perform 100 hours of community service.

• Judge Vicki Clussman revoked probation and sentenced Dustin M. Widder, 22, Antigo, to 18 months in prison and 18 months of extended supervision.

Widder had been convicted of fleeing an officer and placed on two years probation in July 2015. On Aug. 30, 2016, he was charged in Langlade County with second-degree reckless endangerment.

• Clussman placed Steven A. Dupris, 24, Weyauwega, on two years of probation.

Charges of felony marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia were dismissed but read into the record.

Conditions of Dupris’ probation include that he undergo any counseling recommended by his agent, not consume any illegal drugs, not associate with people who use drugs and pay $518 in court costs.

• Kirk imposed and stayed one year in jail, then placed Roy R. Shook III, 32, Neenah, on 18 months of probation.

Shook was convicted of possession of narcotics.

As a condition of probation, Kirk stayed 30 days in jail that can be used at the probation agent’s discretion. The judge also ordered Shook to perform 50 hours of community service and pay $518 in court costs.

• Kirk placed Joseph J. O’Driscoll, 39, New London, on two years of probation with 45 days in jail.

O’Driscoll was convicted of two counts of obstructing an officer and one count each of possession of marijuana and misdemeanor bail jumping. Three counts of felony bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record.

• Huber sentenced Wayne A. Laux, 56, Bear Creek, to three years of probation with six months in jail, revoked his license for two years and ordered him to install an IID for one year and pay $1,866 in fines and court costs.

• Kirk placed Alexander Togstad, 22, Weyauwega, on one year of probation, stayed 30 days in jail, ordered him to serve 40 hours of community service and to not consume alcohol.

Togstad was convicted of two counts of misdemeanor battery, amended from felony battery of an officer. Charges of resisting an officer and disorderly conduct were dismissed but read into the record.

• Clussman placed Brandon J. Lindsay, 20, Weyauwega, on three years of probation, stayed 90 days in jail that can be used at the agent’s discretion and ordered him to pay $7,409 in restitution and court costs.

Lindsay was convicted of obstructing an officer, criminal damage to property and theft. Charges of fleeing an officer, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent, burglary, theft, forgery and bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record.

• Huber placed Donald K. Wing, 52, New London, on three years of probation, stayed eight months in jail and ordered him to pay $5,799 in restitution and court costs.

In two separate criminal cases, Wing was convicted of two counts of felony neglect of an at-risk individual and hit and run involving injury.

Two counts of intimidating a victim and one count of disorderly conduct were dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Miranda A. Barden, 25, Waupaca, on three years of probation, ordered her to pay $7,594 in restitution and court costs and to participate in counseling as recommended by her agent.

Barden was convicted of possession of narcotics, operating a vehicle with a controlled substance while a minor was in her car and three counts of credit card fraud. Charges of felony bail jumping and felony theft were dismissed but read into her record.

• Huber imposed and stayed two years in prison and two years of extended supervisoin, then placed Brandon J. Bucher, 25, Iola, on four years of probation.

Bucher was convicted of two counts of burglary, one count of theft and one count of criminal damage to property.

Two counts of burglary, four counts of criminal damage and one count of possession of amphetamines were dismissed but read into the record.

As conditions of his probation, Huber ordered Bucher to spend 90 days in jail and pay $9,508 in restitution and court costs.

• Huber placed Blake L. Stecker, 21, Waupaca, on one year of probation and assessed him $1,144 in court costs.

Stecker was convicted of disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property. Two counts each of felony strangulation and battery were dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Allisa J. Guyette, 22, New London, on one year of probation and ordered her to pay $443 in court costs.

Guyette was convicted of obstructing an officer. A charge of drug trafficking was dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Alysha L. Feltz, 24, New London, on three years of probation and ordered her to spend 45 days in jail and pay $518 in court costs.

In two separate criminal cases, Feltz was convicted of felony bail jumping and possession of narcotics.

Charges of possession of narcotics, child neglect and carrying a concealed weapon were dismissed but read into the record.

Feltz also entered into a deferred prosecution agreement of a charge of delivery of heroin with the condition that she complete probation without committing any crimes.

• Kirk placed Zachary M. Krings, 26, Waupaca, on one year probation and ordered him to pay $686 in court costs.

Krings was convicted of disorderly conduct and misdemeanor bail jumping. A felony charge of substantial battery was dismissed but read into the record.

• Kirk placed Jeffrey C. Preuss, 43, Iola, on two years probation and stayed 30 days in jail.

Preuss was convicted of reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Kirk also ordered Preuss to pay $814 in court costs and not to possess any dogs without prior approval of his agent.

• Clussman placed Kylie R. Crain, 27, New London, on two years of probation and ordered her to pay $1,184 in court costs, perform 40 hours of community service and maintain absolute sobriety.

Crain was convicted of two counts of battery and one count of resisting an officer.

Charges of attempted battery to an officer, discharging of bodily fluids at an officer, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.

• Kirk placed Joseph L. Trice, 36, New London, on two years probation and ordered him to pay $2,291 in fines, court costs and attorney fees.

Trice was convicted of felony marijuana possession and felony bail jumping. One count of felony bail jumping and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping were dismissed but read into the record.
