Family remembers late veteran

The family of the late Roy and Jean Anderson donated an eagle bench to the Veterans Memorial this year.

The memorial is located next to the American Legion Hall, in Weyauwega.

Both Roy and Jean passed away in 2014.

Family and friends gathered for the dedication of the bench, which was in their honor and memory.

Roy was a World War ll Navy veteran and member of the 32nd Division Army National Guard. He was an active life member of the Weyauwega American Legion and VFW and served as commander many times.

Jean was a charter and life member of the Weyauwega American Legion Auxiliary and VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary, also serving as president numerous times throughout the years.
