Lyons receives RUBY Award

Chamber of Commerce recognizes young professional

Ben Lyons is the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2016 RUBY Award recipient.

The chamber recognized area young professionals during its fifth annual RUBY (Recognizing the Upward, Bright and Young) Award Luncheon on Oct. 26, at the Waupaca Ale House.

Lyons, of RE/MAX – Lyons Real Estate, was selected as the 2016 recipient because of the length of time he has been committed to working with organizations in the community and because of his passion for giving back to the community, the Selection Committee noted.

To be nominated for the award, individuals had to be between age 18 and 40, work in the Waupaca area, be making an impact on their business or industry and be demonstrating service and commitment to the community.

Also nominated and recognized at the luncheon were Aaron Allie, The Upper Room With Personal Trainer Aaron LLC; Jessica Anunson, Blenker Companies, Inc.; Hope Brock, Hope With Acupuncture; Kacie Cullen, TLC Sign; Casey Gardner, Premier Community Bank – Waupaca Branch; Carl Johnson, The Wheel House Restaurant; Chloe Meilinger, Bethany Home; Derrick Minton, The Minnow Bucket; JoLene Nollenberg, WDUX Radio AM800 FM92.7; and Jenni Rice, Park Vista Retirement Living.
