Comets take Truckers down

Waupaca wins conference dual

Waupaca handed Clintonville a 57-18 defeat Dec. 8 in a North Eastern Conference dual meet at Waupaca High School.

The Comets’ wins included Josh Winter’s pin of Lacey Jung in 3:35 at 160, Vince Ellie’s pin of Tabitha Breitrack in 27 seconds at 220, Jimmy Intribus’ pin of Hunter Allender in 1:08 at 138, Mitchell Pecher’s pin of Zach Shaw in 3:09 at 152, Tanner Johnson’s technical fall of Jetlyn Michonski in 4:05 at 120 and Logan Bernhardt’s 10-1 win over Andrew Robinson at 145.

The Truckers opened the meet with a 12-0 lead after Waupaca forfeited to Autumn Hohn at 106 and Ben Cotherman at 113. The Truckers’ other six points came at 195 after Mark Kilcoyne injury defaulted to Jason Bilek.

Clintonville forfeited matches to Colby Bernhardt (126), David Pacheco (132), Seth Piencikowski (170) and Derrick Rotta (182). Both teams forfeited the 285-pound match.
