Indians take early lead in away game

The Weyauwega-Fremont Indians took home a 87-74 victory over the Manawa Wolves Tuesday, Dec. 20.

Jake Hablewitz scored 12 points in the first half, giving the Indians a 33-27 lead in the game.

Manawa came out strong in the second half, led by Ethan Hass who sank six 3-point baskets. But the Wolves could not overcome the deficit.

Leading the score for the Indians was Hablewitz with 26, followed by Logan Bosquez with 19 and Payton Magdanz with 12.

Top scorers for the Wolves were Hass with 27, followed by Bo Koehn with 13 and Josh Griesbach with 11.

Weyauwega-Fremont, who improved their record to 2-4, will host Mosinee on Thursday, Dec. 22.

Manawa will be back in action on Dec. 27, when they travel to Elcho for a holiday tournament.
