T-Birds defeat Wisconsin Valley Lutheran

The Iola-Scandinavia Thunderbirds boys’ basketball team beat Wisconsin Valley Lutheran 69-47 in a non-conference game on Friday, Feb. 10.
The T-Birds took an early lead in the game, led by Charlie Stockwell who scored 13 of his game high 17 points.
Freshman Connor Kurki came alive for the T-Birds during the final stanza, scoring 14 points, to secure the win.
Top scorers for Wisconsin Valley Lutheran was Clay Schult with 15, followed by Tekoya Cosby with 14.
Leading the way for Iola-Scandinavia was Stockwell with 17, followed by Kurki and Holz with 14 each.
The T-Birds will return to conference play on Tuesday, Feb. 14 when they travel to Pacelli.
