Juergens, LeRoy W.

LeRoy W. Juergens, age 86, Manawa, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2017.

He was born April 2, 1930 in the Town of Granville, Milwaukee County, WI, son of the late Otto W. and Malinda (Stahl) Juergens. Baptized (April 27, 1930) and confirmed (April 18, 1943) his faith in the Lord at North Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Milwaukee, Wisconsin. LeRoy graduated from Custer High School, Milwaukee in 1948. He served his country in the United States Army from 1951-1953. On June 5, 1954, LeRoy was united in marriage to Carol Heidenberger at North Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of North Milwaukee. He learned carpentry from his father and began his building career with him in Milwaukee in 1948. He moved to Manawa in 1960 and continued building homes in the Manawa and surrounding area until his retirement. He was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where he served as treasurer for 25 years, custodian for 15, and served two terms as trustee.

LeRoy is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Laura Langman, Manawa; Julia Juergens (Eugene Much) Manawa; Jennifer Juergens, Raleigh, North Carolina; and Paula (Joseph) Marcy, Pembine; grandchildren: Ryan (Brittney) Langman, Eric Langman, Katelyn Langman, Adam Langman, Melissa (Andy) Habeck, Kelley Much, Mark Much (Katie Bult), Wyatt Marcy, Ely Marcy. He is further survived by great-grandchildren: Austyn Much, Bentley Much, Devyn Langman, and Kade Langman. He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Marvin; father and mother in-law, Robert J. and Rizpah Mirium (Norton) Heidenberger; sister and brother in-law, Allan and Celeste Bostrom.

Funeral services for LeRoy will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Manawa with Rev. Nathan Reichle officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Little Wolf Cemetery, Town of Little Wolf.
