Zuhse, Brian Lee

Brian Lee Zuhse died at home on June 17, 2017.

He was the son of Peggie Irene Zuhse (Ling) and Melvin Zuhse formerly of Clintonville, Wisconsin. Brian met Sarah Elizabeth Kelly when he was living and working in Northern Michigan where she would visit her family’s cottage on lake Huron each summer. They were married for 24 years. Brian was the beloved father of two children, Jacqueline Elizabeth and Nicole Kelly.

In addition to his wife, Brian is survived by his children, Jacqueline Elizabeth Zuhse (State College, Pennsylvania) and Nicole Kelly Zuhse (Elon, North Carolina). Brian is also survived by his nine brothers and sisters: Dale (Joan) Zuhse, Oregon, WI; Barbara Anne (Jim) Merholtz, Clintonville; Linda (Vernon) Tullberg, Rapid City, SD; Pamela (Butch) Hesse, Clintonville; Cynthia (Doug) Carrick, Clintonville; Gloria (Gary) Sipiorski, Clintonville; Scott Zuhse, Las Vegas, NV; Lisa (Dan) Opperman, Oshkosh; and Mark Zuhse, Aurora, CO. His parents proceeded him in death.

Brian was born in Clintonville, Wisconsin, and lived there until he left for college at the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Brian’s work career took him to Colorado where he began a successful career working for Trus Joist Corporation. A bulk of his professional career was spent working for Trus Joist which was later acquired by Weyerhaeuser. Up until two months prior to his death, Mr. Zuhse was dedicated to his career, last working for Snavely Forest Products in Maryland. Brian was passionate about his family. He loved the outdoors and time he spent hunting and fishing. Brian enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places and cultures. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date.
