Elsie “Chuckie” Baldwin, 96, of Richland Center, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, peacefully at her home.
Elsie was born at home, May 16, 1921, the daughter of Edward and Mabel (Marasch) Frederick. She graduated from New London High School. She married her favorite dancing partner Victor Baldwin on January 2, 1945. After living in Manawa they moved to Richland Center in 1960. Elsie and Victor enjoyed dancing, traveling, and camping over their many years together. They especially enjoyed family vacations, fishing, and card playing with the family. Elsie’s greatest pleasure was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her home was a gathering place for family, friends, and even Santa.
Elsie is survived by her children: Randy (Peggy) Baldwin of Madison, Jane (Kent) Ewing, and Julie Keller of Richland Center; grandchildren: Craig Baldwin, Bridgette Baldwin, Max (Jamie) Baldwin, Kari (Scott “Gumby”) Smith, Andy (Becca) Keller, Jake (Katelyn) Keller; great-grandchildren: Drake Baldwin, Tanner, Tucker Baldwin, Brody, Bennett, Bella Smith, Chase, Caden Keller, Madelyn, Beau Keller; sisters-in-law, Faye Emnott and Kathryn Frederick; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Elsie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Victor, and brother Howard Frederick.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Saint John’s Lutheran Church, 479 S Park St., Richland Center, at 12:00 p.m., with burial to follow in the Richland Center Cemetery. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. The Pratt Funeral and Cremation Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
