Former Chief Waupaca captain to speak at Holly Center
The history of tourism on the Chain O’ Lakes will be the topic of the Waupaca Historical Society’s Thursday, Aug. 10 program.
It will begin at 6 p.m., at the Holly History and Genealogy Center.
Ron Arthur, a former Chief Waupaca boat captain, will present, “Summer Fun: The History of Tourism on the Chain O’ Lakes.”
Arthur will tell the story of the Chain O’ Lakes through the old resorts, cabins and entertainment on the lakes.
Refreshments will be served.
The program and refreshments are being sponsored by Taylor Lake Marina.
The Holly History and Genealogy Center is located at 321 S. Main St., in Waupaca.
