The baby who was transported to a Madison hospital Saturday has died.
Lt. Geoff Johnson with the Waupaca Police Department informed the Waupaca County Post about the infant’s death Tuesday morning.
A man living on Oak Street in Waupaca called 911 and reported that his 3-month-old daughter had stopped breathing at 4:21 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 2.
Waupaca police and Gold Cross Ambulance responded and officers immediately started CPR on the child.
The infant was transported to Theda Care Medical Center-Waupaca, then to UW Hospital in Madison.
Johnson said an autopsy has been completed and the investigation is ongoing.
