‘I’ll never have a cooler job’

Wienermobile stops in Clintonville

By Erik Buchinger

The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile made a stop at Clintonville’s Econofoods on Thursday, Sept. 7.

Sammi “Sandwich” Manning and “Honey Mustard” Hailey Rohe entertained guests with games, handed out wiener whistles to children and took photos with customers in front of the Wienermobile.

It is one of six vehicles touring the United States all year.

Both are recent college graduates. Manning is from Waukon, Iowa, while Rohe is from Shawano.

Manning and Rohe signed a one-year contract and started their two-week training period in June where they learned to drive, travel and about Oscar Mayer’s hot dogs.

The two have driven the Wienermobile to 10 states in two months around the Midwest.

“I’ll never have a cooler job than this, that’s for sure,” Rohe said.

People can download a free Wienermobile app to see when any of the six vehicles are near them and where they will be headed next.
